In case you missed the newspaper article in the Saipan Tribune, here's a little reminder: The CNMI Council on the Humanities is now accepting registrations of teams from middle/junior high schools for the annual Junior High Mock Trial.

Thespians coaches and coordinators: please talk to each other at your school. Make sure your coordinator has the information and meets the deadlines, as follows:
NAMES OF COMPETITORS: Submit to Hal Easton by Friday, September 26, 2008.
Submit what names you have, even if you're not sure it's complete or accurate. This will give Hal a chance to create a format for each school competing, and make it easier when adding or dropping competitors.
ADDS: Submit to Hal Easton by Monday, September 29, 2008. There will be no chance to add any students after this date. So be sure to include any and all students who may potentially compete.
REVIEW: Hal will provide a copy of the draft matrix. Please review it for accuracy. Let him know if names are spelled incorrectly or codes are inaccurate, etc.
DROPS: Submit to Hal starting on Tuesday, September 30 and have all names of students who are DROPS to Hal by Wednesday, October 1, 2008.

Attention! Middle and High School Thespians--News & Notices
This year's TWPI* Chapter Play will be THE SECRET GARDEN. The scheduled production date is mid-November 2008.
High School Thespians who are interested in Directing, or being one of the Assistant Directors or the Stage Manager may sign-up and get information at MHS Room 101D either Friday afternoon (9/19) or Saturday morning (9/20). Don't delay! This is a great opportunity.

Photos-coaches & coordinators meet-up
"President" Harold Easton hosted several meetings for coaches and coordinators--NFL, NJFL, PGFC, Math Court, ITS, etc. Schools from around Saipan did a good job in sending representatives.

Math Court-Meeting Notice & News
K-5 Division and 6-12 Division: There is a MANDATORY meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 5 PM at Dandan Elementary School. This meeting is for coordinators of the Math Court program from ALL schools, both the K-5th grade competition and the 6th-12th grade competition.
K-5 Division: First competition is October 11, 2008, morning, at Dandan Elementary School.
6-12 Division: first competition is October 11, 2008, afternoon, at Kagman Elementary School.

The first Lincoln-Douglas debate is scheduled for Friday October 10, 2008 at Calvary Christian Academy, with a start time of 5 PM. The topic is the one posted on the national site for September.
